Welcome to a little piece of our world where we aren't afraid to do things a little differently.  We may not be the breeder for you if are looking for a puppy that comes from parents that live their lives in cage, crates, kennels, or any lifestyle where they are not free to be the inquisitive and adventurous spirits they are bred to be. We have participated and placed in many AKC sanctioned events, even in confirmation shows, but our passion is the WATER and the outdoors instead of stuffy suits and concrete floors. Our puppies are raised in the home with us and we wouldn't have it any other way. They travel with us, live with us, grow with us every day.  If you are a pedigree coinsure and feel the value of a living, breathing, emotional being is measured by red names on a pretty paper, our puppies are not for you although we have plenty of red lettered Champion names in our lines as well as our girls have multiple AKC awards and titles including Rally Sport, Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, and the AKC Star Puppy Award. Many of our puppies are competing in a multitude of events from water trials to advanced obedience. We are very honored and humbled to  have placed puppies that have went on to be certified Emotional Support Animals and registered Service Dogs.  We encourage all of our new families to do at least one puppy training class even if they are only looking for a family friend. Our PWD puppies thrive on training and learning with their families and even the most novice of trainers will be amazed how their Portuguese Water Dog will make them look like an old pro.

Our Portuguese Water Dogs are not our hobby. These puppies are not our source of income (no kennel here). Our PWD are not a status symbol nor a novelty in any way. They are not here for us to use or exploit for attention.  They are our family.  They are here to complete our lives in a way that only this magnificent breast of a breed can.  They are here to hold us when we are having a bad day or our feelings are hurt. They are here to look at us with their big brown eyes and try their best to talk us.  They are truly a thoughtful, emotional, and brilliant energy that just happens to like to give puppy kisses.

If we aren't the breeders for you, we sincerely understand and wish you the best in your journey as there are a lot of great breeders with wonderful puppies that need love too. We have such a limited amount of puppies that we will gladly try to refer you if our puppies are no longer available or did not fit your needs.
